Shelburne Reel — Clyde Hartman of Columbia, Tennessee, introduced me to this Canadian standard back in the late 1970s; we learned it off of an album entitled “25 Old Tyme Fiddle Hits — as advertised on TV” (I miss the days when I could buy fiddle albums at the grocery store). It is attributed to Canadian fiddle celebrity King Ganam from a 1955 recording. The little tag is a tip of the hat to J.T. Perkins of Arab, Alabama.
