Fiddle

What is the difference between the fiddle and violin? The best answer is that there is not actually any difference.  Folk musicians usually call it a fiddle while classical and jazz players normally refer to it as a violin; with that having been said, even Itzhak Perlman, perhaps the most famous classical violinist alive, often calls his Stradivarius a fiddle.
The Jim Wood Online Acoustic Music Academy provides fundamental instruction that allows students to excel in all musical genres.
