I started playing the banjo as a teenager in West Virginia, taking up the fiddle at the age of nineteen. My father played banjo and upright bass, and my grandfather carried me around to bluegrass festivals as a child, these were my first exposures to what you might call American roots music. I have been playing and performing on the fiddle for nine years.
My musical tastes include old-time breakdowns, rags, waltzes, bluegrass, and classic country. It is my hope that my passion for the instrument will inspire you on your own journey.
